Be honest. How many times do you actually warm-up for a training session? Most people will do a half-hearted 5 minutes on the bike or treadmill, maybe a few static stretches, before launching into their sweat sesh. I know I’ve been guilty of this more than a few times! Oops.
Hey, no worries. Sometimes you just don’t know what you should even be doing to properly warm-up. Or you’re short on time. Or you just don’t wanna. I get it.
Dynamic warm-ups are an important part of the training session because it works through the full range of motion of each joint and muscle in a safe, controlled manner to help prevent injury and improve performance. As its name suggests, it’s also to warm up the muscles and joints to get them to activate properly prior to a workout.
Well, you’re in for a treat today. Not only am I sharing one of my most used dynamic warm-ups, I’m giving it to you in easy, downloadable form (PDF file). So save, print, and take to the gym. Your body will thank you by giving you a kickass workout!
